Calories to Burn in a Day

To lose weight, you must burn more calories than you eat. Each pound of fat is equal to about 3500 calories, so if you want to lose 2 pounds in a week, the calories to burn in a day is about 1000 more than you eat. Finding ways to burn those calories can be a challenge, but if you reduce the amount of food you eat while increasing your exercise, you can lose weight.
When you’re figuring out how many calories to burn in a day, you should take into account the type of exercise you’re doing, the effort you’re putting forth, and the length of time you exercise. If you have a goal of 1000 extra calories a day to burn, you can make choices with that number in mind at all times.
